What we collect

Sellers: name, mobile, email, park name and postcode, details and photos of your caravan. Buyers and traders: company, name, mobile, email, postcode, what you buy, your bids and purchases. Parks: park details and the units you list. Transport enquiries: name, mobile, postcodes and the move details. Website: basic usage data so the site works. We do not use advertising cookies.

Why we use it

To list caravans, match units to buyers, run bids and payments, arrange transport and keep records. Our legal basis is performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in running the service safely.

Who sees it

Buyers see photos and descriptions before they buy. Once payment has cleared they receive the exact pitch and the seller’s contact details. Sellers are told the winning buyer’s company name. Our suppliers, including Supabase, Netlify, GoHighLevel, Stripe, Brego and transport companies, see what they need to do their part.

Photos

Photos and videos you upload are stored securely and shown to registered buyers and on our site while the unit is for sale. They are removed from public view once sold and kept internally for one year.

How long we keep it

Listing, bid and payment records: 6 years, for tax and legal reasons. Enquiries that do not become listings: 12 months. Messages: 2 years.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it: trade@offsitecaravan.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Security

Data is held in the UK/EU on encrypted systems with access limited to people who need it.
